St. Patrick's Day is just a few days away, and that means it's time to pack your green clothes and head to one of these top three St. Patrick's Day celebrations. From elaborate parades, to live music and even a river dyed green, there's no better way to kick off camping season than a St. Patty's Day party.

San Francisco, California

It's no secret that San Francisco loves to party, and on St. Patrick's Day the city holds one of the biggest celebrations in the country. The 2014 parade will be the 163rd St. Patrick's Day Parade held in San Francisco and the 100,000 attendees don't stop celebrating when the parade passes by. Head over to Union Street for the St. Paddy's Pub Crawl on March 15 and 17 this year, or find Irish fare, green beer, live music and games all in one place at Funcheap's 2014 Shamrock St. Patrick's Weekend Bash.

Chicago, Illinois

Start your St. Patrick's Day on Saturday, March 15 and head over to the watch the Chicago River as it's dyed green at 10 a.m. And take off straight from the river to Columbus Drive where you'll watch the elaborate St. Patrick's Day Parade march north from Balbo Drive to Monroe. When you're tired of walking, hop on the Spirit of Chicago St. Patrick's Day Cruise or settle into an Irish pub for drinks and Irish fare.

Savannah, Georgia

The South may be known for its Mardi Gras celebration, but Savannah's St. Patrick's Day party is one to rival any festivity. Fountains are dyed green, streets are blocked off and bands play outside bars rathern than inside. The party starts with the dyeing of the fountain at Forsyth Park at noon on Friday, March 7 and continues well beyond the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Monday, March 17.
