No matter where your travels take you in southern Louisiana, Bent's RV has you covered. The convenient RV service center has a location near New Orleans but if avoiding traffic is part of your plan, stop in at the Thibodaux or Houma centers. With new and used inventory onsite, you'll be ready to go in no time.

For RVers planning their next expedition, putting together a menu that includes snacks is a project to be completed before hitting the road. Long hours of riding and not a lot of places to stop along the way, in many instances, means having what you want already packed and onboard. To keep your hunger pangs at bay, consider one of these quick and easy snacks.

Fritos Pie - this recipe is easy as pie. Pour desired amount of Fritos brand corn chips into a bowl. Top with heated green or red chili or chili con carne. Add shredded lettuce and cheese and 1 to 2 tablespoons of chopped onion. Optional ingredients include shredded cooked chicken or ground beef and refried beans.

Smoked Salmon Spread - Combine 1 8-ounce packed of softened cream cheese with 1 can of smoked salmon. Add 1 teaspoon horseradish and 1 tablespoon of dried onion flakes and lemon juice. Refrigerate for about an hour then serve on your favorite cracker or a slice of fresh French bread.

Deviled Egg Spread - Finely chop hard boiled eggs then use a fork to mash them to a chunky consistency. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar to taste and celery salt. Top with your favorite spicy seasoning such as Cajun spice if you like a little heat with your deviled eggs. Spread on crackers or bread.

Tortilla Roll Ups - Combine 1 8-ounce package of softened cream cheese with 4 ounces of green chilies or jalapenos if you like it hot and 1/4 cup of black olives. Spread thinly over a flour tortilla (pre-packaged) and roll tightly. Cut the tortilla in to 1/2 inch bite sized pieces.

If you need travel trailer repair, a new part or a general maintenance check before your next trip, schedule an appointment with Bent's RV and let a certified technician take a look under the hood or wherever your recreational vehicle needs servicing.
