    Hit the Open Road

    If you are looking to get out of the house this fall and into the outdoors, Louisiana is a great place to take all of your camping adventures!

    In this post we will share with you some of our top camping spots around Louisiana as well as tell you about a special sale we have going on down at Bent’s RV Rendezvous!

    Lake Fausse Pointe State Park

    Lake Fausse Pointe State Park is our first park we will recommend for camping. The lake offers plenty of opportunities to fish, boat, canoe, hike or just enjoy the surrounding beauty of the park!

    Sitting at the edge of a beautiful water paradise and a vast wilderness, Lake Fausse will offer you a great chance to experience not only the park but the surroundings as well. Close by the park you will find historic areas such as St. Martinville, Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site and many other great landmarks.

    Camping

    For the campers, Lake Fausse offers the following options

    • 33 Improved Campsites (water and electrical hookup)
    • 17 Premium Campsites 
    • Canoe Campsites (no hookups); 5 sites available
    • Backpack Campsites, 7 available on a first-come, first-served basis    
    • Primitive camping area (maximum capacity of 50)

    Lake Claiborne State Park

    If you want action, then come to Lake Claiborne State Park! With all kinds of activities from fishing, disc golf, water skiing, hiking bird watching and swimming just to name a few, Lake Claiborne is the ultimate stop for a family getaway.

    The RV campground is located in the picturesque setting of the north Louisiana foothills, offering shaded spots so you can get up close and personal with nature and the animals.

    If you are looking for a beach to take your family, the lake is located on an inlet and is protected from boats and waterskiers, making it a perfect private area to have a great time! Want to stay on land? Take a hike on one of the many trails or take a guided nature tour!c

    Camping

    • Cabins (Deluxe Cabins also Offered)
    • 67 Improved Campsites (water and electrical hookup)    
    • 20 Premium Campsites (12 pull-through campsites, 8 prime location campsites, all with water and electrical hookup)    
    • 2 Unimproved Campsites (no hookups)    
    • Primitive camping area (maximum capacity of 20)

    Lake Bistineau State Park

    Lake Bistineau State Park has a great mix of seclusion and beauty while also being close to many different landmarks and activities. 

    Inside the park you will find two boat launches, hike and bike trails, playgrounds, swimming pools, a beach, cabins, fishing and more!

    Outside the park you are close to golf courses, recreation areas and Bossier City which has numerous nightlife options.

    If you want to have a great time outside the park but want to come back to camp inside, Lake Bistineau has several great options.

    Camping

    • 67 improved campsites 
    • Group camping (provides sleeping quarters for up to 160 people in 20 cabins, a fully equipped kitchen, and a swimming pool)
